Waiting Times and Rates

Waiting Time

Our current waiting time is approximately 14 weeks (until January 1, 2026, due to our budget cap). We do not operate a waiting list.

At the moment, we have a temporary intake stop for children under 18 within the Holland Rijnland region, as our budget limit has been reached.
However, we do have sufficient capacity to accept new children through alternative funding options (e.g. personal budget or self-payment) on short notice.

For patients insured with CZ, OHRA, or Nationale Nederlanden, we also currently have an intake stop, for the same reason.

Reimbursements

Adults

Coverage under the basic health insurance
For 2025, iMindU GGZ has contracts with the following health insurers:

  • Aevitae
  • CZ Group (CZ, OHRA, Nationale Nederlanden)
  • DSW / StadHolland
  • Zorg & Zekerheid

We do not have contracts with other insurers for 2025.

If you are insured with one of the insurers listed above, we will handle the billing directly with your health insurer.

If you are insured with a company with which we do not have a contract, we will send you a monthly invoice for your treatment. You pay the invoice to iMindU GGZ and then submit it to your insurer. Depending on your policy type, your insurer may reimburse part of the amount. Please contact your insurer for details.

We apply the NZa (Dutch Healthcare Authority) rates for mental health institutions covered by Quality Statuut Section 3 – outpatient care, both mono- and multidisciplinary.

Treatments under specialist mental healthcare (sGGZ) fall under the Dutch Health Insurance Act and are reimbursed from the basic insurance. A referral letter from your GP, company doctor, or medical specialist is required. You may receive treatment elsewhere at the same time, but not for the same diagnosis.

Deductible (Eigen risico)

Please note that your insurer will charge the mandatory deductible.
For 2025, this is set at €385 per year, unless you have agreed to a higher amount with your insurer.

No costs for family members and close contacts

We often ask you to bring family members or other significant people to your sessions. There are no costs associated with their participation. Their deductible is not affected, and they do not need a referral.
However, we are legally required to register anyone present during treatment as an associated client (“nevencliënt”).

The Care Performance Model and your privacy

Since 2022, mental health care in the Netherlands has been reimbursed according to the Zorgprestatiemodel (Care Performance Model).
Providers such as iMindU GGZ are required to list the DSM-5 diagnosis code and care demand classification on invoices sent to insurers.

If you object to this for privacy reasons, you can complete the privacy declaration, which is included in our intake package.

Foreign insurance

If you do not have Dutch health insurance but are insured abroad, you are also welcome.
Some foreign insurers reimburse a fixed percentage or limited number of sessions. Please check with your insurer in advance.
If your insurer requires a treatment cost estimate, we can provide one. We always ask for a written guarantee from your insurer confirming cost coverage.

Children and Adolescents

Municipal reimbursement

Since 2015, mental health care for children and adolescents under 18 is reimbursed under the Youth Act (“Jeugdwet”), meaning the municipality, not the insurer, covers the costs.
For 2025, we have contracts with the municipalities within the Holland Rijnland region.

Self-funded treatment

You may also choose to pay for your child’s treatment privately.
We will provide a cost estimate in advance, but please note that actual costs may vary, as treatment is tailor-made.

We require a deposit of €2,000 to be paid before treatment begins. This amount will be refunded at the end of treatment, provided all invoices have been paid.

Asylum Seekers and Refugees from Ukraine

Adults

We have a contract with RMA/RMO (the Medical Care Scheme for Asylum Seekers and Medical Care Scheme for Refugees from Ukraine).
This applies to asylum seekers and refugees aged 18 and older.
A referral letter from a GP or medical specialist is required.
The treatment is fully reimbursed and no deductible applies.

Children and adolescents under 18

Mental health care for asylum-seeking children and children from Ukraine is covered by the municipality.
Children from Ukraine fall under the regular municipal budget (see above under Children and Adolescents – Municipal reimbursement).

No Show Policy

If you do not attend your appointment or cancel less than 24 hours in advance, it will be recorded as a No Show.
You will receive a No Show invoice. This invoice is not reimbursed by your insurer or the municipality.
