Registration Procedure

Step 2
We will then call you back. During registration, the (child and adolescent) psychiatrist will have a brief phone conversation to assess whether iMindU GGZ is the right place for you.

Step 3
After the phone conversation, you will receive a secure email containing the intake package.

Step 4
Return the fully completed intake package. Once we have also received the referral letter from your GP and all financial and other formalities are settled, we can schedule an appointment.
Intake by age group
The intake for children under 12 years of age first includes a conversation with the parents, followed by a joint session with the child and parents, and finally a session with the child alone and a child psychiatric assessment.
For children aged 12–16, the intake starts with a joint conversation with the child and parents, followed by a session with the child alone, and then a separate conversation with the parents.
Competent adolescents aged 16–18 enter into an independent treatment agreement with iMindU GGZ. We may inform parents only with their consent.
We aim to have a joint meeting with the parents at the time of intake or as soon as possible thereafter and to collaborate closely with both the adolescent and the parents to promote mutual dialogue and understanding.
In cases of complex issues, it may also be beneficial to involve the entire family through family sessions.
Young adults aged 18–30 enter into an independent treatment agreement with iMindU GGZ. For young adults, we also offer a joint conversation with parents and/or a partner, as involving loved ones is highly valuable. In cases of complex issues, it may also be beneficial to involve the entire family through family sessions.
Adults enter into an independent treatment agreement with iMindU GGZ.
For adults, we also offer a joint session with their partner, as involving loved ones is highly valuable.

In families where more than one family member requires care, family sessions are usually linked to the individual treatments. When issues go beyond the individual level, the focus of the family sessions is adapted to the specific difficulties and challenges involved.
Care may concern both parents and children. To help the family function optimally, it is often necessary that each family member is able to function well.
